VAT Deferral Scheme

If you deferred your VAT last year due to the Covid-19 pandemic, this was due to be paid by 31st March 2021.
If you were unable to make payment, HMRC introduced the VAT Deferral Payment Scheme.
The VAT Deferral Payment Scheme is open for all businesses who deferred paying VAT between 20 March and 30 June 2020.
This is a payment plan set up with HMRC to collect the deferred VAT over 8 months.
The last day you can join this scheme is 21st June.
If you do not join the scheme by 21st June, or do not pay in full by 30th June, you may be charged a 5% penalty and interest.
